KEEPING VANDALS AWAY WITH NEW ART
It’s perhaps an unconventional method of deterring graffiti and vandalism, but it’s one Tamworth Regional Council is excited to try out.
Port Macquarie artist Damon Moroney is now on Council’s payroll, helping to keep regional towns looking beautiful.
“This will help, it’s been proven in many areas before. Just to help as a lot of problem children come and vandalise and find areas like this, so we target the hotspots and just cover them with bright and colourful murals.”
Moroney says he goes in freestyle and free hand – taking inspiration from whatever is around him.
