MACHETE AND SLEDGEHAMMER USED IN ARMED ROBBERY AT PORT MACQUARIE GOLF CLUB

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a golf club on the state’s mid north coast.

Just after midnight, two men armed with a machete and a sledgehammer forced entry into Port Macquarie Golf Club on Ocean Drive, confronted two employees and demanded money.

They left with a small amount of cash.

No one was injured in the incident.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information to come forward and would like to speak to anyone who saw a late model silver coloured sedan leave the scene at the time.
