USAIN BOLT TOUCHES DOWN IN SYDNEY

Eight-time Olympic gold medalist and eleven-time world champion, Usain Bolt has touched down in Sydney ahead of his “indefinite training period” with the Central Coast Mariners.

Bolt told reporters at Sydney Airport; “I’ve said all along this is for real and I’m here to show what I can do”.

The Mariners are hopeful they can turn the sporting superstar into A-League material in just three months, with the view of offering the Jamaican a full-time contract in time for the start of the 2018/19 season.

His first official training session will be this coming Tuesday, which also coincides with his 32nd birthday.

The A-League season kicks off in late October.
