HUNTER MAN SENTENCED OVER MULTIPLE SEXUAL ASSAULTS

A Hunter man has been sentenced to a maximum 40-years jail, for assaulting more than a dozen women he’d met online.

28-year-old Andrew Benn from Rothbury sexually or indecently assaulted 14 women and girls as young as 15, between 2012 and 2017.

Benn organised to meet his victims after speaking to them on sites such as Facebook and Tinder.

He’ll spend at least 30-years behind bars and won’t be able to apply for parole until 2047.
