SHED DESTROYED, HOME OWNER TAKEN TO HOSPITAL

Neighbours have acted fast to stop the spread of fire to a West Tamworth home today, after a shed caught light.

After seeing smoke, they made a number of triple-zero calls and within minutes, firefighters arrived on-scene.

They extinguished the blaze in around 20 minutes, but the shed was completely destroyed.

The home-owner was treated for smoke inhalation and taken to hospital for observation.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
