MARSHALL RULES OUT A RUN IN FEDERAL POLITICS

Northern Tablelands M-P Adam Marshall has squashed rumours he’ll challenge Barnaby Joyce for pre-selection for the seat of New England, ahead of the next federal election.

Mr Marshall says he’s satisfied with his current role.

“Well that’s very flattering but I’m very focused on the Northern Tablelands. Federal politics is not something that interests me at all at the moment and certainly has a very toxic culture down in Canberra at the moment.”

Mr Marshall is yet to nominate for pre-selection for his Northern Tablelands state seat.

He also holds the state Tourism and Major Events Portfolio, and is the Assistant Minister for Skills.
