JASON DOYLE UNABLE TO MAKE AN IMPACT IN SWEDEN

He recovered from a frightening crash in time to compete, but defending world champion Jason Doyle struggled to make an impact at round six of the Speedway GP series.

Torrential rain delayed the start of the event and when racing got underway the Australian made a solid start, grabbing second in the opening heat.

That was as good as it got for Doyle, he missed out on the finals and slipped to 11th in the world championship standings.
