It’s been one of the longest flat spells in recent time, and unfortunately it doesn’t look like changing anytime soon.
There has been some swell around the Gold Coast and the far northern end of New South Wales, however further south around Newcastle and the Mid North Coast the week has resembled a lake.
Don’t expect it to change over the weekend either, with strengthening westerly winds holding down what swell is there.
We are likely to see some more movement in the ocean next week, with the swell size increasing and the winds settling.
