$3.4 MILLION FIRE CONTROL CENTRE IN GLEN INNES

The Glen Innes region will be well prepared for bushfire season, with the opening of a $3.4 million Fire Control Centre.

The new complex is a joint collaboration between Council and the Rural Fire Service, and will be used as an emergency response coordination centre for all natural disasters in the Northern Tablelands

“This is all about giving our local volunteers, our local firefighters, the very best facilites and the very best equipment that government and councils can afford to make sure that they can do the best job possible,” says Member for the Northern Tablelands, Adam Marshall.

The new centre also includes seven new firefighting vehicles.
