STACEY PORTER LEADS AUSSIE SOFTBALL TEAM TO WIN IN OPENING MATCH OF WORLD CHAMPS

The Australian softball team begun its World Championships campaign on the right note today, with a 7-1 win over Venezuela in Japan.

Captained by Tamworth’s Stacey Porter, Australia came from behind to open the tournament in emphatic style.

It was the first of two matches the Aussies played on the opening day, as the faced China late this afternoon.
