RELEASE OF FINDINGS FROM PFAS HEARING DELAYED

Residents embroiled in the Williamtown RAAF base contamination scandal will have to wait until October to hear the findings from last month’s public inquiry.

Inquiry chairman Andrew Laming says the delay is due to further evidence gathering and parliamentary sitting dates.

Meanwhile, the Northern Territory community of Katherine today launched a class action with Shine Lawyers, over the impacts of firefighting chemicals used at Tindal airbase.

Residents from Williamtown and those from Oakey in Queensland, go to court against Defence next year.
