The Mariners have had a shocking start to their 2018-2019 A-League pre-season, going crashing down to Adelaide three-nil in the FFA Cup overnight.
The Central Coast were down seven players, with four Mariners Academy players hitting the pitch against the Reds.
Adelaide was on the attack throughout, with Mariners coach Mike Mulvey admitting the better team got the win.
