ANOTHER LIFE LOST ON THE M1

It’s been a tragic week on the M1.

This time, a man driving the wrong way on the Central Coast has been killed in a head-on collision.

It’s believed the 72-year-old took a wrong turn as he left a service station at Warnervale.

A truck travelling south alerted the driver, but he failed to slow down… with the shaken truckie telling Ray Hadley how he narrowly avoided the accident.

“I flashed my lights at him, he flashed his lights at me. i didn’t even see any brake lights and i was just lucky that there was no cars behind me in the left lane so i was able to get out of the way, and went past, and i believe the next car that was coming at him was the car that he hit”

A ute coming off Sparks Road is believed to have crashed into the sedan… the 26-year-old driver suffered minor injuries.
