LAKE BRIDGE PLAYERS FINALLY FIND PERMANENT HOME
It’s been half a century in the making and now, an avid group of bridge players finally has a place to call home.
The Toronto Bridge Club has been trying to find a clubhouse since 19-71 and its finally locked in a base at Carey Bay.
“It never felt right, whereas here the tables are always out…You can actually see it from the members, in that they hang around and you know we clean up a bit and whatever, but there is a sense of our centre.”, says club vice-president Henry Wells-Moore.
The group is now looking for some young players to join, in the hope of creating high school bridge challenges.
