STAFF MEMBER LEFT WITH HEAD INJURIES FOLLOWING LAMBTON ROBBERY

A 21-year-old staff member has been left with head injuries, after a robbery at a Newcastle service station.

At around 11 o’clock last night, a man entered the business on Croudace Road at Lambton, demanding cash and assaulting a staff member.

The man made off with a small amount of cash, and was last seen heading towards Charlton Street.

He is described as being of African appearance in his early 20s, around 180cm tall, with medium length dreadlocks.

The staff member was treated by paramedics, but declined to be taken to hospital.
