There were fears a Southern Right whale spotted on the edge of Crowdy Head this morning had become trapped.
Keen-eyed observers saw barnacle-like features on its back and a lack of bounce to its swim, and suggested it might be in distress.
Thankfully, the creature moved on and didn’t require any assistance.
