New South Wales boasts the richest economy in the country and today Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson met with local business owners to discuss how the local region is benefiting.
More than 100 people attended the Tamworth Business Chamber’s ‘State of the State’ luncheon, with jobs, skills and investment all hot topics.
The impacts of drought also a concern.
“Those associated businesses in agriculture are feeling it. Those in Peel Street, those retailers. There’s not that excess cash floating around at the moment where they’re going to buy that coffee or they’re going to go and buy that dress or they’re going to go and buy those shoes.”
The State of the Nation lunch will be held later in the year.
