A 37-year-old man has been arrested at Coffs Harbour, following an investigation into the alleged online procurement of a child.
He was arrested at a Coffs Harbour beach about 10am on Friday.
An investigation began after a tip-off from the Victorian Police, who allege the man had been communicating inappropriately with a young girl since 2016.
Investigators conducted an online investigation and it was alleged the man had arranged to meet with the young girl in person.
A search of the man’s house and his vehicle led to the seizure of three mobile phones, computers, laptops, electronic storage devices and ammunition.
The man was formally refused bail and will appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court today.
