MAN SET TO FACE COURT OVER SPATE OF CBD BREAK-INS

A man will face court in Newcastle tomorrow following a spate of break ins in the CBD overnight.

The 48-year-old was arrested this morning and later charged with one count of break and enter.

Police are investigating reports of break ins at four cafes and restaurants in the inner city.

Inquiries are ongoing, with additional charges likely to be laid.
