5-YEAR-OLD BOY CRITICAL AFTER HUNTER HOUSE FIRE

A five-year-old boy is in a critical condition, after a house fire in Singleton Heights this morning.

About 8am, emergency services were called to Bridgman Road, following reports of a house on fire.

Five occupants of the home, a woman and four children aged between three and 16, escaped the blaze with minor injuries.

A five-year-old boy sustained serious burns to his body and was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

The house was totally destroyed, the cause is yet to be determined.
