LOCAL LAND SERVICES ASKING FARMERS TO COMPLETE ANNUAL STOCK ‘CENSUS’

With the drought taking hold of the region, many farmers have been driven to sell off livestock.

Despite this, Local Land Services is still asking landholders to complete the a livestock ‘census’, even if they have no stock.

The organisation say the data is valuable in an emergency, and is needed to view the bigger picture of the state’s land use.

Anyone who doesn’t complete the stock return will face a fine.
