FORMER RADIO HOST DAVID COLLINS LOSES BATTLE WITH CANCER

An icon of Newcastle radio, former KOFM presenter David Collins has lost his battle with cancer.

Collins moved to Australia from England in the mid 1970s, working in Sydney before moving to the Hunter in 1991.

He spent 24 years gracing local airwaves, much of that alongside Tanya Wilks on breakfast radio, before spending two years working on the afternoon drive show.

David Collins was 60.
