STATE GOVERNMENT CALLS FOR COMPENSATION FOR RED ZONE RESIDENTS

The State government has taken aim at its Federal counterparts over the handling of the Williamtown RAAF base contamination scandal.

In a submission to a senate inquiry, the State government has urged the Commonwealth to compensate property owners whose land has been affected by fire-fighting chemicals used at the base.

The Federal government continues to dismiss any cancer links to the PFAS chemicals and is denying pleas for land buy-backs.
