A man has faced court, over the alleged assault and robbery of a man at Waratah near Newcastle last month.
Police say a 28-year-old man went to a home on Morpeth Street on July 27, where he got into an argument with the accused, who he didn’t know.
The accused then allegedly punched him and demanded cash, before threatening him with a knife.
Officers searched a home on Morpeth Street on Wednesday and arrested a 48-year-old man.
He was charged with a string of offences including assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
