Another popular Newcastle pub has been damaged by fire, just weeks after The Edwards was gutted by a fierce blaze.
Shortly after 1am, firefighters were called to the Prince of Wales Hotel at Merewether, after a fire broke out in the kitchen.
Crews were able to stop the blaze from spreading to the rest of the pub.
