BAD NEWS FOR THE KNIGHTS

The Knights’ season has gone from bad to worse, with Slade Griffin ruled out for the next 9 – 12 months following a catastrophic knee injury.

Kalyn Ponga has also been ruled out for the next 3 to 4 weeks, which will include origin 3, after he suffered a grade 1 hamstring strain in the sides loss to the Bulldogs.

Griffin, who was taken from the field in a medicab, suffered multiple ruptures to ligaments in his knee including a ruptured ACL graft, ruptured lateral ligament and torn lateral meniscus.

He will undergo an ACL reconstruction in the coming weeks.
