MAN EXTRADITED FROM QLD IN RELATION TO SERIOUS CRASH
A 34-year-old man has been extradited from Cairns, over a car crash that seriously injured three passengers on the Far North Coast last year.
On July 8, 2017, the driver of a Ford Falcon with three passengers on board was allegedly travelling at high speed at Tuncester.
The vehicle hit an embankment, causing it to roll several times, landing on its roof.
The occupants, two men aged 25 and 26, and a 31-year-old woman sustained life-threatening injuries and were taken to Lismore Base Hospital.
A 34-year-old man allegedly fled the scene.
Following investigations, Queensland Police arrested a man on June 14.
He was extradited and taken to Lismore Police Station yesterday and charged with a string of offences.
He was refused bail, and is due to reappear at Lismore Local Court on July 4.
