MAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING APRIL POLICE PURSUIT

A 37-year-old man has been arrested at Goulburn, and charged with allegedly shooting at a police car at Lake Macquarie in April.

Police will allege the man was a passenger in a Holden Commodore, which was being pursued by police, in the early hours of April 19.

As the pursuit travelled through Belmont North, it’s alleged the passenger leant out the window, firing a shot at a police car.

Following investigations, a 37-year-old man was arrested at Goulburn Correctional Centre.

He was charged with a string of offences, including aggravated break and enter, and was refused bail.
