MANILLA LOSES BID TO HOST ONE NIGHT STAND CONCERT

Manilla’s hopes of hosting Triple-J’s One Night Stand Concert were crushed today, with St Helen’s in Tasmania announced as the host town.

The free event seeks to draw big artists to regional towns – this year including Peking Duk and Vance Joy.

Those behind the push for Manilla to host the concert say they’re taking this year as a learning curve and will put the town back in contention next year.
