Police are investigating a possible crime spree in Morisset overnight, after three homes were broken into.
In the early hours of Wednesday morning an 85-year-old woman woke to a man in her hallway, before he fled through a window.
Police say a neighbour saw a man in the area at the time, describing him as being six-feet tall, with a thing build and balding hair. He was last seen walking toward Bridge Street wearing long dark pants and a grey knitted top.
Officers also responded to two other invasions at homes nearby on Newcastle Street.
“Three incidents in one night is particularly disturbing and my officers are utilising all resources at their disposal to identify anyone involved.
“If anyone has information which can assist us, I urge them come forward. Information can be given anonymously,” Supt Sullivan said.
