The fight against a contentious sand mine in Port Stephens isn’t over just yet.
Residents have now lodged an appeal against the Independent Planning Commission and the Williamtown Sand Syndicate, following the project’s approval last month.
The mine’s fate now rests with the Land and Environment Court.
