A red p-plate driver and his girlfriend have had a lucky escape after a collision on Charlestown Road in Charlestown today.
The 20-year-old man from Raymond Terrace had owned the vehicle for less that 24-hours before writing it off in the crash.
He was issued with a number of fines including for negligent driving.
