Civic Train Station will be given a new lease on life.
Revitalising Newcastle wants to transform the existing building into a cafe, as part of a new public plaza.
The plan also features green space and re-using the existing footbridge.
A development application is being considered by Newcastle Council, amid hopes construction could start by the end of the year.
