A big win for BNC in Newcastle Netball today beating Souths Lions by two goals, to leapfrog into second place on the ladder.
Souths staged a fightback in the third quarter, quickly closing the five-goal margin by which they trailed at half-time.
But BNC held on, strong in defence to record a huge confidence booster in their campaign.
Elsewhere Wests’ juggernaught rolls on – the defending champions thrashing Souths second-team.
Forsythes prevailed in a tight one with Nova Thunder, while Maryland Tavern beat Wests 2.
