GAV’S WEATHER: EAST COAST LOW TO WELCOME WINTER

The East Coast Low sitting in the Tasman is generating a powerful swell, while conditions are all clear across the remainder of the nation.

The system is set to generate strong southerly winds along the coast, with showers likely to affect from the Central Coast through to the Coffs Coast.

It will remain cold, wet and wintry for the coast over the weekend, with the monster swell building.

We can expect very cold mornings and more fine, sunny weather as you head further west.

The Northern Rivers and South East Queensland will remain fine for the weekend, with the showers set to move in next week .
