Two people have been arrested after a police pursuit through the Hunter Valley this morning.
Police attempted to pull over a stolen Yamaha road bike on Aberdare Road at Cessnock, at around two o’clock this morning, when it’s alleged the rider failed to stop.
Officers pursued the bike for 16 kilometres, before the rider and his passenger ditched the bike on Campbell Street at Ellalong.
A 20-year-old female passenger was arrested, while the 24-year-old rider was located hiding on a nearby rural property.
It’s alleged a large amount of drugs and cash was found with the pair.
Both were charged with a string of offences and will face court next week.
