MARINERS RELAUNCH W-LEAGUE BID

The Central Coast Mariners have late this afternoon re-launched their push for a W-League licence for next season.

CEO Shaun Mielekamp will present the club’s case to Football Federation Australia tomorrow.

“It’s an important moment for us. Tomorrow I’ll be meeting with FFA and presenting our case for the W-League, and what’s really important for everybody to understand is it’s a big part of our brand.”

The Mariners’ hopes of a W-League comeback were dashed less than a year ago, due to inadequate facilities at Central Coast Stadium.

We’ll have more in NBN News tomorrow night.
