FATAL CRASH NEAR GRAFTON
The driver of a hatchback has died, after the car they were driving crashed and caught fire on the Pacific Highway near Grafton.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Glenugie just before 9:30 this morning, after reports a southbound vehicle had left the road and hit a tree, trapping the driver.
Passers-by attempted to free the person, before the car caught fire and was completely destroyed.
The identity of the driver is unknown.
Police are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed or may have dashcam vision of the crash.
