STRONG FEW DAYS FOR TEAM BRUNEL

It’s been a great few days for Lake Macquarie sailor Kyle Langford, and his crew onboard Team Brunel in the Volvo Ocean Race.
They won the race at Newport on America’s north east coast, then led the fleet early on leg nine to Cardiff in Wales.
The 3,300 nautical mile transatlantic stretch will go a long way to determining the overall winner.
Currently sitting in fourth overall, fellow Hunter sailor Chris Nicholson knows his crew on Team Akzonobel needs a big result.
“I don’t know if we dropped our guard in the last one or we made errors but we didn’t have the points we needed to so if there wasn’t already a lot of pressure on there’s actually more on this time.”
