CHARGES LAID FOLLOWING INVESTIGATION INTO ALLEGED ACT OF INDECENCY
Two men have been charged following an investigation into an alleged act of indecency on a Newcastle bound train last year.
Officers were alerted to the incident, which occurred on December 4 last year, by a 17-year-old girl after she witnessed a man commit the alleged act of indecency while travelling between Central and Wyong.
A 53-year-old man was arrested in relation to the incident at Wyong on Friday, and charged with committing an act of indecency with a person 16 years or over.
He faced court this morning, and was refused bail to reappear at Wyong Local Court on Monday.
Officers also executed a search warrant at a property on Northcott Avenue at Watanobbi, arresting a 41-year-old man and allegedly seizing a firearm, ammunition, knives, a laser pointer, a conductive electrical device, and prohibited drugs.
A 41-year-old was arrested and charged with multiple offences including five counts of possessing a prohibited drug.
He faced court this morning and was granted to conditional bail to reappear in August.
