TEENAGER DIES IN CRASH NORTH OF MOREE

A 17-year-old boy has died and two others have been injured, after a single-vehicle crash in the state’s north west overnight.

Around 6.30pm, emergency services were called to a property in Boggabilla, about 113kms north of Moree, after reports a car had crashed.

The teenage driver died at the scene.

A male and female passenger, both believed to be in their late teens, were taken to Goondiwindi Hospital in a serious condition.

Officers seized the vehicle for a mechanical investigation as they continue their inquiries, as to whether speed was a factor, and if seatbelts were being worn.
