ZERO BAG LIMIT FOR FISHERMAN NOW IN FORCE FOR BASS AND PERCH
Recreational fishers are being reminded that a zero bag limit is now been in place when catching specific species of fish.
The zero bag limit is being enforced by the Department of Primary Industries when catching Australian Bass and Estuary Perch from all rivers across the state.
It’s designed to protect the species while they spawn, following a record stocking of 429,000 bass during this year’s season.
D-P-I Fisheries officers will target anglers illegally retaining these species during the four-month closure.
