CHARGES LAID OVER INCIDENT AT LAKE MACQUARIE SHOPPING CENTRE

Two males including a 16-year-old boy have been arrested, after police were called to a Lake Macquarie shopping centre following reports of an alleged assault.

Officers arrived at the Belmont shopping centre around 2pm on Monday, when it’s alleged a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old ran from the scene.

Police located the pair, however during their arrest, the 18-year-old allegedly became violent and escaped from custody.

He was tracked down a short time later.

Both were charged with multiple offences including assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company, and will face court today.
