A fast-moving fire threatened a number of properties at Tamworth this afternoon.
More than 50 firefighters tackled the blaze, which came within metres of a radio station, car yard and church.
A nearby home and hay shed were also nearly engulfed, as the grass fire scorched 10 hectares in 20 minutes.
Blustery winds didn’t help the situation, but emergency crews eventually brought the situation under control.
It’s not yet known what sparked the blaze.
