PROPERTY CRIME DROPS IN TAMWORTH
Oxley police say they’ve made significant headway in property crime across the Tamworth region.
In January there was 121 break and enters reported, which reduced to 76 in Februrary..
While last month 48 incidents were reported to police.
Oxley Crime Manager Chief Inspector Phil O’Reilly says the drop in crime is the result of a co-ordinated response from the Target Action Group and Regional Dog Squad, as well as information from the community.
The new figures comes as police raided three properties in Calala and Tamworth late last week – which allegedly uncovered stolen property.
Three men have since been charged.
