NINE INJURED IN HUNTER VALLEY HOT AIR BALLOON CRASH

Nine people have been injured in a hot air balloon crash in the Hunter Valley.

The incident occurred near Macdonald Road and Broke Road at Pokolbin at around 8 o’clock this morning.

Two patients have been taken to John Hunter Hospital, while the remaining seven are being treated in Cessnock Hospital.

It’s understood their injuries include broken bones and spinal injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation.
