An R-B-T blitz has taken to the Coffs Coast roads over the past two days, with more than 400 drivers tested.
Coffs Clarence Police say it’s not just those hitting the highway who need to take care over the long weekend.
Reminding drivers that whether on the highway or backstreets, the same rules apply.
“If you have a look at our statistics in relation to road trauma it’s not the highway that’s the issue, our road trauma hotspots are the backstreets and other areas in the district so that is our focus.”
Double demerits will be in force until midnight on Monday.
