GAV’S WEATHER: RAIN SYSTEM WEAKENING

The system now hitting the Mid North Coast is weakening. There’s plenty of cloud over New South Wales east and in the far west.

A new cyclone is forming in the Gulf.

A coastal rain event is now easing but more rain is on the way as the showers are still heavy at times stream in. The areas most affected are along the Coffs Coast.

The trough will remain slow moving. Heavy showers will still stream before coming more widespread along the entire coast tomorrow.

The strong onshore winds will continue to drive in cloud and showers affecting most of the coast to eastern slopes and Ranges. With the heaviest falls beginning to ease along the Coffs and northern New South Wales coast.

Only limited light isolated showers will make it over The Divide.

The whole system will come to end by the weekend.
