CALLS FOR RETURN TO OLD NEWCASTLE BUS TIMETABLES AS HUNDREDS TAKE TO THE STREETS
The state opposition is demanding an independent review into Newcastle’s bus network.
Hundreds of protestors took to the streets in Hamilton this morning, calling for a return of the old bus timetable.

No way are the buses up 5% at all. When we have to now catch 2 pr 3 buses where we where catching 1 that really adds to their count. You only have to notice the increase in traffic on the roads as now people have to drive to work and school to be able to get there on time. There’s not even maps at bus stops showing people what buses they need to catch to get where they are going. As for the elderly they sit at bus stops for hours waiting for buses that won’t show up as the bus numbers have changed.
My name is Lauren today’ at Hamilton I attended the bus rally and did the march in the hot weather to Hamilton bus depo Whith my mu,m and dad how support the disability people and did the Belmont 16 footers I’m so discussed and anyoyed that I’m having to catch the bus day after day and still they haven’t change the bus back to normal I’m so angry and really people with disability should be able to chat a public bus and not have to be isolated and fell safe when catching the public transport bus
