A police pursuit at Lake Macquarie has ended with a 26-year-old man crashing his motorcycle into a tree, before being arrested by the police dog unit.
Around 11pm on Thursday, police attempted to stop a motorbike rider, who’d been spotted with no headlights travelling along the Pacific Highway at Swansea.
Police pursued the rider along the Old Pacific Highway towards Murrays Beach, before the motorbike rider lost control and crashed into a small tree. He attempted to run from the scene but was arrested nearby
He was was taken to hospital, where he remains under police guard.
